Healthy Ramadan Series :Recipe 2 : Barley Water

Staying hydrated during Ramadan is essential. Barley Mint Water has amazing health benefits:

  • Cleanses Kidneys 
  • Reduces the signs of aging
  • Aids in healthy skin

Drink at least 1-2 glasses of barley water in the hours after breaking the fast to keep hydrated. Cinnamon and Mint adds flavor and also aids in digestion and relieving bloating.


And do not throw away the barley after straining the water, use it to make Barley Pomegranate Tabbouleh. If Pomegranate is not in season use, any berries or chopped cranberries as a substitute for it.
